Dr. Kennison
graduated from medical school in 1995 from the University of Osteopathic Medicine and Health Sciences (Des Moines University). He also received extensive training in podiatric surgery and wound care at prestigious hospitals including The Yale University System and The Baylor College of Medicine and their indigent clinics in Houston.
In 1998, in an effort to improve podiatric care for patients that are homebound in SE Wisconsin, Dr. Kennison opened his first podiatric office in Waukesha, Wisconsin. He was the lead podiatrist as part of Visiting Podiatry, a division of Visiting Physician’s Association. The company offered primary care medical services to patient’s in their homes.
However, in late 2015, a decision was made to no longer offer services operating as Visiting Podiatry. Dr. Kennison recognized that this was an excellent opportunity to take his new-found passion of assisting those with disabilities and the routine struggles of life and healthcare, to open Wisconsin Visiting Podiatry. The model was nearly the same, but with more of a focus on wound care and placing the patient first.
Currently, Wisconsin Visiting Podiatry’s territory stretches from Mequon all the way down to Pleasant Prairie. All the Greater Milwaukee area, including Waukesha and the NorthShore covered by our services. South of Milwaukee, the main West border is I-94. The primary practice is based in the Milwaukee area, but we are expanding into Racine and Kenosha counties on a daily basis.
